Hi i was just wondering what some of the best ways to remove bacteria bloom from a tank.
my tank is matured but i cleaned the gravel and filter little to much
thanks for your help  :p

1. Patience. Let them eat up whatever they are eating, then they will collapse.

2. Water changes. Reduce anything that makes them bloom like crazy. Provided your water isn't the culprit. Reduce feedings.

3. Filter them out. A DE (diatomaceous earth) filter clears up the water quickly.

4. Kill them. Add an UV sterilizer.

I would try it in this sequence...

hi &thanks what exactly is the uv thing i seen 1 on ebay but was pretty pricey.
Also i think its just bacteria re establishing so is this the same as when 1st starting
as all test show fine and there not feeding on nutreunts in the water :S
