Removal of Internal Juwel filter

Yipee ! I've done it !
I was cleaning my tank last night and all of a sudden I just though - "let me just give this a little try". I'd already removed 40% of the water and just really could not see myself emptying the whole tank any time soon to remove this filter.

So I got my Stanley knife and edged it along the silicone. Under 2 minutes the filter was free !

no effort at all !

Now I'm going to buy myself that external filter (and perhaps also that pressurised CO2 system) - once I get my annual free mobile phone upgrade - but this year I'm going to flog it on eBay and make a quick £200 + (I do this every second year ).

Who wants a silly gimmick mobile phone that can take pics anyway - a phone is to make calls on for goodness sake

Funny this should come up gain i managed to get mine out as i was stripping the tank down, and i thought i might as well have another go and I manage to get it out, i'm alot happier to,lol
