well my nano tank has been lying with water and riccia floating on top for the past 3 months or so, and when i got home i decided to redo it and try again, since i did not have too much time i simply put it all together in less then an hour.. :)

the picture i took is even bad ! the camera is out of battery and i was just able to make one shot haha

anyway here is the pic of the tank

the monstrous device on the left is a really small powerhead that is still too powerfull thats why i aded fittings to lessen the force of the pump, lighting is 23 watts of 6500 kelvin. The tank is roughly 2.3 gallons btw and the plants are elatine triandra and a slate of riccia that a friend of mine asked me to make for him
i rigged a quick brew of DIY co2 for this tank too

hope this one turns out nicely !

btw here is what it looked like before when it was a bit better.. until algae took over

I like the rocks you had in there before. What happened to them?

i like em better too :( they are in my main tank covered in riccia, hehehe i might move em back into my nano tank because my main tank is starting to turn into a big plant mess ! that i cant fix

jimboo yup this should keep me occupied but im really preparing for a bigger 35 gallon. Im starting to look for the driftwood, lighting etc etc :D hehe

its about time i updated on this nano tank

this is what it looks like now 1 min after lights on

i hope i get this one right now and algae does not take over

im currently o'ding co2 as an experiment. minimal fertilization, a few drops of generic liqui fert with nitrate and phosphate

and other impt trace elements during water change :p

Look at all those pretty bubbles!  My anubias have bubbles, but they hide their's underneath their leaves where I can't see them.

Very pretty. I actually like the rock. When the ground cover fills in, it'll look very unique, like an island in a sea of green. Are you putting any fish in there or other forms of fauna?

oh so cool ken. I love the foreground and ofcourse the riccia looks marvelous too. Such a big improvement has been made since the first picture you showed us. Thanks for sharing :)

yup :D its turning out better then i expected, hope the growth continues, but algae is starting to appear, the nasty hair algae that caused my first tank to fall :D

anwyay regarding the fish... errr probably none yet! im still getting the hang of these hi-lighted nano tanks :p and right now i think the water is too saturated with co2 to support fish
