Hi all

Looking to relocate the tank when I decorate in the summer.

Where it is at the mo, it gets sunlight in the spring / summer early morn and most of the afternoon = algae! The only place left is next to a radiator (big dual convection jobby), but it gets it out of the sunlight. The tank would be next to the rad at the inlet end - would this cheapen warning the tank through or just cause problems? The other end would be near the french doors so that would be a bit chilly

Was thinking of boxing the radiator with foil on the inside to reflect the convected heat from the side, but it would still get the rising heat.

I am somewhat between the devil and the deep blue sea here. So is it the frying pan or the fire?

I have a 4ft tank directly in front of a radiator just a few inches away - no problems - just saves on the heating of it in the winter when the radiator is switched on! :good:
