hey,
i was just wondering, when do you think i should release my 4 baby plattys into the main tank.
i just tried to measure them. but their too quick and wont stay still.
i'd say there about 1.5cm?
around there. definately bigger than 1 cm
these are the fish i have.
7x guppies
3x neons
2x angelfish
1x shark
2x plattys

my only problem iss
the angelfish and the shark, because they're bigger than the rest and i`m guessing they would have bigger mouths.
so when do you think i should start releasing them?
thanks.

when they are at least half the size of the adults, or the same size as the smallest fish in the tank.

If your angelfish like to pick on other fish then let them grow fairly large especially if the angelfish are adults.

ooh
the angel fish dont pick on any of the fish.
and the angelfish arent the biggest angel fish you can get.
just normal size. they are far from huge.
and the shark. i`m just wondering cos it might eat them cos it has a big mouth?
lol

What type of Shark is it?
To me the most dangerous on the list for you fry is your Angels, because they are not Angels when it comes to eating small fish/fry.

Angels look like little angels when you are watching them but they are not. They are ambush hunters. They will sit almost motionless, as you always see them doing, next to a plant leaf or similar item. It hides them fairly well from a fish that they are facing because their long thin line of contrast to the background looks like just another leaf to the victim. A sudden burst of speed over a very short distance and the angel has a mouthful. If a fry will fit in their mouth, it won't last long in a tank with an angel.

If you have about 10 fry larger than the mouth of the fish, I've seen that they won't bother them. I put about 12 small marble mollie fry in my 35 and they weren't bothered. They were probably about three weeks old.

LMAO
why are they called angelfish,
clearly their not angels :D
omg.
one is staring off at my snail!
just still in the same place looking at it.
:)
ahwell.
thanks for all your help.
