Rehomed Carp

On Sunday I moved a large carp from my Father-in-laws pond to mine as it was getting a touch to big for his pond. When I built his new pond eight years ago this fish was in a really bad way and spent a week in a tank full of methylene blue, we think a cat may have had a go at it because it was covered in scars and fungus. Now eight years on it has grown over 13" in length and is now 19" long.

I already have a large Leather Carp in my pond as well as some large Koi which are all eating machine but this one can devour food like nothing else.

That's a monster and I thought the carp I had was big, baby poo compared to this heck of a thing.

That looks like a Hybrid, Mirror Carp with a Koi or something! Looks nice though

It is a Mirror Carp / Koi cross, I have a true Leather Carp and some nice Leather and Mirror carp Ghost Koi as well.

I am hoping to do some work in the pond this weekend so hopefully I will have some pictures to post of the other Carp and Koi next week
