Just been to my LFS and seen this Gorgeous New Aquarium Tank/Cabinet, Dimensions are 80w x 40d x 70h, 180 Litres, 10mm Glass, 200 Watt Heater, 2 x 25 watt twin Lighting, External Filtration CF1000.

Plus Cabinet, with 2 doors, etc (Beech)

The cost .......... £450 All in, is this good??

Does anyone have this particular one? Regal 80? Or can advise on something very similar? I currently have a 90 Litre Hex Tank, but am looking to upgrade, and it has to look nice....hehe..

plenty of tanks to choose from for £450.my rio 240 was £360 for everything.how big a tank do you want????

The Aqua-One tanks have a beautiful finish, and the tank hood is made of solid wood as is all the trim, so they look particularly nice.

The only down-side of them is they are not very easy to get into, or to turn into a marine aquarium without modification. But if you are just setting up a tropical tank then it would be fine.

They also do the "Royal" 90 which is a 90cm bowfront tank, along with the "Windsor" 66 which is a very nice little corner tank.

They usually come with heater and filter made by Aqua-One, although personally I would replace the filter with an Eheim, theres no reason why the one provided wouldn't be fine for a standard trop tank.

They are expensive tanks, this is mainly down to the finish and the fact that they have some fairly good kit included (Luminaire lighting hidden in hood, heater, filter).

If you just want a basic glass tank on a stand you can have that much cheaper but you do pay for finish with "off the shelf" tanks in England.

well if the finish is awesome then, i guess it depends if it's worth it to you...

I prefer more ordinary tanks but that's cause all our furniture is ordinary, nothing outstanding... I guess whatever floats your boat! :)

I have 2 aqua one tanks,One trop and the other marine,

They are really well made and the finish is superb, lighting and filteration are pretty decent too,my trop is 173 litres and my marine is 207,

I would reccomend them to anyone whose thinking of having a ''Smart Looking '' tank in their home, well worth the money spent on em

Trop cost me £280 and marine £245 even though its bigger!

this was for the tank and cabinet, filtration unit, lighting and the LFS throwed in a free heater and a tenners worth of free fish when u spend £100 ( this spec is for the trops )

Let me know if u want any more info,

Mikk
