Hi,
I am having problems with getting my CO2 bottle refilled. Does anyone know of anybody in the East Sussex area (preferably near Eastbourne), who can and will refill the bottles. Mine is a 500g Sera bottle with the standard thread. Any help will be very appreciated as it has now been 2 weeks without CO2 and I am getting very dispondent.

Hi,
I have always got my JBL 500gm bottle changed at Maidenhead Aquatics. They are probably the same bottle, I would have thought. Check here if there is one near you.

I get my JBL bottles filled at a local Maidenhead Aquatics (£13 for a 500g JBL bottle).
However they will ONLY fill JBL bottles.

I saw an ebay auction recently with a regulator and 2 x Bioplast 500g bottles and rang to see if they can
refill them ...... NO, only JBL and they wouldnt touch Aquamedic 500g bottles either.

The problem, is that the nearest Maidenhead Aquatics is about 40 miles away. The Sera bottle has the same thread as the JBL. I know this, as my setup is a JBL unit. The bottle was a direct replacement for an empty one a few months ago, but the company that replaced it, don't seem to be able to get any more bottles. Still looking. I have tried welding companys but they aren't interested. So hopefully someone on this forum might know somewhere.

Anyone have any ideas please as I am getting desperate. Algae is beginning to appear in my tank and the plants aren't looking anywhere near as healthy as they were.
Many thanks
Ian
