Refilling 55 Gallon Tank After Transport

Oh! I'm sorry. I misread. The tank came with some fish: 3 silver tipped sharks, 3 pictus catfish and a pleco. I'm definitely re-homing the sharks because as they grow the tank is not even nearly big enough. I'm a little torn if I'm going to keep the catfish or not.

the pictus cats get too big for that tank, especially 3 of them. so i would rehome those and go from there. You could even go african cichlids if you buffer your pH.

The pH in my area is a bit high. Around 7.8. I'm not too familiar with cichilds. I'll have to do some research on those. I'm contacting my LFS this weekend to see if they can take the fish.

african cichlids are easy to keep. like you said, though, do your research.
