Redmoor Wood/sumatra Driftwood

I've just bought some redmoor wood/sumatran driftwood and was wondering if it sinks, or if I need to tie it down to the bog wood with fishing line? It's been soaking for a couple of days so far.

I have found that the Sumatra wood that I have does sink pretty quickly.
Getting it to balance in a position that you like is a different story.......

Generally floats but after a few days it should begin to sink, if not just tie a rock to it or something.
