Redesign The Fish Tank.....

ATM I have 26 fish... and i think my layout is pretty naff

so I'm planning on taking everything out except the sand, but I'll be adding more sand.

Would it be more stressful for the fish if I left them in the tank which will probably get a bit cloudy while I move everything around and add more sand,

Or putting them in a 30L bucket with the heater and filter and some plants for a few hours...

I'd put them in a bucket with the filter / heater running in it. So you get more time to do your design rather than try rusing it or doing as much as you can with out worrying your stressing the fish out.

Drain off a bucket full, catch them in a net and drop them straight in or bag them for a bit?

Drop them straight in, it's the same tank water, heater, filter etc. I wouldn't bag and acclimatise 20+ fish for a few hours in a bucket!

+1 just make sure the water temps are roughly the same though.
