I have redecorated my 30gal many times before so it is not new to me....now I am wanting to redecorate the 75gall....I found a gorgeous tank background made of resin that sits inside the tank....so I have quite a bit of rearranging to do in ordr to fit it in...

I don't expect I will be disturbing the gravel greatly aside from the customary gravel vac which the fish are used to anyway.

My question is....since all the ornaments will be coming out of the tank, should I move the fish to my quar tank OR...leave them in there? I cannot decide which will be more stressful. If I move the fish I will not be able to do so until after the decorations are out anyway and the chasing to catch process could be stressful....

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I would leave the fish in the tank.
I think it would be much more stressfull to move them.

Also, IME, cichlids are much harder to net than platties.

:)

Actually, loaches are the worst to catch.

Good luck Chooklet, I cant wait to see pics of your tank with the new background.
