I have not had African cichlids for 30 years… we have rock hard water here, so they were a natural, in the days before RO systems… I have a couple full sized cray fish, coming and hoping an African cichlid will be up to the task, of cohabitating with them… just bought my 1st rift lake cichlid in 30 years, listed as a peacock in the pet store, it’s red, white and blue, and was on sale, so I thought I’d give it a try… I believe it’s male, by the fin extensions, an Aulonocara cross most likely a mutt, it’s 3.5 to 4 inches long right now… I’ll try to get a picture tomorrow…
