Me And Bf Were watching tank last night and i was showing him how one of my cories is noticeably larger that the other 2 when i spotted this small orange thing in one of the plants on closer inspection....

IT WAS A FRY !!!

We got out breeding net stuck it in and put a bit of live plant which the rest of the wag's love to munch on crushed up some flake food

It's already got it's orange colour and it's black tail can anyone tell me how old it is ?

We moved tank on friday and done about a 75% water change and done a 50%ish water change 2 week previous where i moved all plants and cleaned them So i'm totally complexed on how it's still there we checked tank and it seems to be the only one thats there

Woud it be possible for them to have gotten into the internel filter box thats not used ? We're also going to check the filter aswell (i dont have the correct pick up pipe)

i'm so excited :d:D:d:D:d:D:d:D:D

how long can i keep it in the breeding net ?

Pics :D

I usually keep mine in a breeding net until they are big enough to not fit in someone elses mouth!!

You will be amazed at where fry hide, by all means check the filters, little gaps in rocks/wood, in plants, even resting on the bottom somewhere!

Mine are normally Platy's and Guppies but its all the same principle

thanks for that reply :D

any idea on how old it is ? Im assuming around 2 weeks as it has it's colour to it

checkin filter etc when i come home from work to much of a messy job before i go lol

depends on the fish really, my mollies are born with their black/white markings, but my platys can take up to three/four weeks to get some colour through!

IME wags are born with there colour, but congrats on the lil guy, keep looking as there could well be more
