Hi i have a small tank with a lonely red tail shark in. Any ideas as to what would make a good friend for him??? -_-

What size tank is he in?

how small is small?
red tailed sharks really need a minimum of a 3ft tank...

Tank is about 25 litres, was told that this is big enough provided i don't have lots of fish in. He used to share with a tiger barb but he died so now would like to get him some more company :hey:

Clown loaches can grow up to 12" so can't go in a tank smaller than 75gal at least.
Ditto: What size is your tank?

25 litres is around 6.6 gallons! Thats way to small for a RTBS!!

Yeh that is way too small for a RTBS, clown loch and yo-yo loach.

25 l is about 6 gallons, which is way to small for the shark alone, i strongly suggest you upgrade the tank or get rid of the fish you currently have (either by giving them away or back to the place you got them) and getting something more suitabe for a tank that size

I was obviously given bad advice when i bought him then!

yep local stores are good at that, there just in it for the money, however there are some good stores out there, for the future i suggest you do some reasearch before hand, is there any other fish in there at the minute?

No he is on his own at the moment and have had him for nearly a year. He seems happy enough :)

Before buying a fish you should ask around on the forum instead or as well as in shops just make sure!
