Red Spot Blending Into Guppy Skin

our 9 month old king cobra guppy , has developed a red spot near his tail , it isnt like a spot on top of his skin , its like where it was yhellow with black stripes on top he now has red where the yellow is , its covering ab out a 6th of his body , he has had the spot about 3 days , it isnt getting any bigger or smaller , could it be septacimia? he seems fine in himself and is eating a balanced diet of brine shrimp , tetra crisps , peas etc etc and he hasnt stopped eating at all , have done water tests and all stats are fine .

ph - 7.2

shares his tank with corys , angelfish , guppies , swordtails and gouramis. no new additions to the tank , however a female guppy mysteriously died a week ago .

any ideas?

Yes it bacterial so I would get treating, can you issolate the fish for treatment.

we dont have any isolation tanks at present so really dont know what to do

Add the bacterial med, red pimple spots can soon start to develope into holes if you don't get on top of them fast.

can i just chek that melafix is the right med for him?

No I wouldn't use melafix its only good for cuts and wounds.
Need a stronger bacterial med for red pimple spots.

went to lfs and was recommended a med for him , it is like teabags so have added the correct dosage , just hope it works
