Hey, can ye help me out about red oscars all the info about them etc

Might be worth asking in the new world Cichlid forum.

They need a tank minimum of 75US gallons mind. That's the general feeling, but bigger is better.

Also, they can live beyond ten years, so, they're quite an investment and you should be prepared to organise a bit of your life around them ;)

We have Orange Oscars all over our canals here in South Florida. When they are young, they are beautiful. However, when they get to be several pounds, they seem to darken up. Probably due to the canal water.

Seriously?

I'm so not down with the kids anymore.

You would be amazed at what you can find out about these fish if you just do a search on the internet.

Deadly lol. Thanks all i got 3 red oscars and there cool.

hope you have them in 150 gallon tank. each oscar will grow to be 12" long or larger; each one will also attempt to claim 50 gallons of territory. (unless of course, you wind up with a male-female pair, in which case they will probably kill off the extra fishy)
