Their info on keeping them on that site is quite bad, in reality red eared terrapins/red-eared sliders grow to 11inches wide/long(28cm), wild ones can grow up to 40cm(14-15inches), and they can also live for over 40yrs;

For 2 red eared terrapins you are looking at a 4-5ft long tank.

Care;

So while they may look really cute when they are just diddy little things, they can grow very large, can have a nasty bite, and need a lot of looking after and money invested in keeping them- sorta like fish keeping then :p !

I really wanted one, and then I read the following!
"Warning:

Red-Eared Terrapins have a strong bite resulting in injuries that should be seen by medical staff as soon as possible as they may carry some diseases. This bite is able to inflict serious injury, larger adults being able to crush bone. "

I think i'll pass!
