Red Dwarf Gourami!

i've had my red dwarf gourami for about 7 months now and i've came back from work today and he has like dark gray patchs on him not furry or anything just patchs!? kinda like his scales are dirty? anyone know what this is? need to know asap as very worried for him

iknow its crap quality picture its taken on my phone but thats all i can get at the moment, you can just make out the dark patchs

could it be stress? have you added any new tankmates? or moved him?

has your temp changed any latly? like temp swings?

The picture is not very clear unfortunately, but if the black patches are located around the belly and behind the head area, you can congratulate yourself, since it means he is ready to mate.
