When i came home from work today i noticed my skin coloured betta had a couple of small red dots on her tail fin. Down near the end. Is it possible she burnt herself on the heater? She likes to sit on top of the heater frame and snooze. Also...how do i unconstipate him? His belly looks like he hasnt gone to the toilet today so im concerned coz he looks bloated.

Could the two red dots be linked to his fat belly?

Tank:
aqua start 320
ph: 7.0
ammonia: 0
nitrate: 0
nitrate: 0
Feed betta flakes.
Water 26degrees celcius

Edit:
So i smooshed up a couple of peas. The red betta loved it! He ate two smooshy peas actually. But hes not the one i need to eat it :\ Ive left the bits in their hoping they will eat them. The bloated looking one sort of gave it a half arsed effort. I fished the pea back out and made sure he seen me drop it. Do i need to fish the left overs back out? Will they turn my water bad? Is their something I can do if he doesnt eat the pea?

What if he doesnt go to the toilet? Is there symptoms i can look out for???

What your tap nitrate reading, do you have live plants. It's rare to have a nitrate reading of 0.
Red dots can be septicemia to parasiites.
Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Are the scales sticking out.
Epson salt baths for the bloating.
Septicemia hard to cure once its advanced.
You will need to use a good bacterial med.
