When i came home from work today i noticed my skin coloured betta had a couple of small red dots on her tail fin. Down near the end. Is it possible she burnt herself on the heater? She likes to sit on top of the heater frame and snooze. Also...how do i unconstipate him? His belly looks like he hasnt gone to the toilet today so im concerned coz he looks bloated.

Could the two red dots be linked to his fat belly?

Tank:
aqua start 320
ph: 7.0
ammonia: 0
nitrate: 0
nitrate: 0
Feed betta flakes.
Water 26degrees celcius

soften up some peas and squish them. Toss them in the tank and that suppose to help with constipation. I never tried it myself but its said to help by alot of people on the forum.

put the pea in some warm water and blast in the microwave for a few seconds. then when its cooled down deshell it and mush it between your fingers, then give it to your fish :good:

So i smooshed up a couple of peas. The red betta loved it! He ate two smooshy peas actually. But hes not the one i need to eat it :\ Ive left the bits in their hoping they will eat them. The bloated looking one sort of gave it a half arsed effort. I fished the pea back out and made sure he seen me drop it. Do i need to fish the left overs back out? Will they turn my water bad? Is their something I can do if he doesnt eat the pea?
