Red Clawed Crabs

Im thinking about getting a couple red clawed crabs and im not so sure if they really NEED to be above the surface of water to dry or can they spend there lives underwater?

they NEED to be above the surface, and actually spend the majority of their lives there. You would need to have several accesible areas above the water line.

THEY NEED:
Brackish water.
more land than water.
heating lights.
and a species tank.

WHAT THE DON'T NEED:
Community tank.
freshwater.
none crab tank mates.

one thing they aren't is totally aquatic, as zoddy says!
