Red Claw Crabs And Plecs

Can I keep red claw crabs with a sailfin plec, or any other fish similar? I understand the seperate requirements of both, but I've heard mixed reviews on keeping them both and would like to clarify.#

I kept them both together and had no problems. The only problem I had was with the crabs constantly escaping by climbing up various wires and running around the bedroom!

The crabs really need access to 'land' as they are not a truly aquatic crab. They also prefer brackish water which I'm not sure the plec will tolerate.
