Red Belly Tank

Cane, I would def go with the black sand idea :good: as this really brings out the fishes colours.

Obviously your not putting them in with the ray, as rays are amain food source for them in the wild so they would make short work of it in tank.

What size are they currently? What dimensions are they on the 40gallon as it looks much more to me, guess it must be quite a narrow tank??

Ginge, Can you not see from the picture there is plenty of room for the size and numbers of fish at present!
Instead of flaming maybe asking if cane was going to upgrade and point out the reasons why he would need to would have been a more constuctive post :good:

PS Cane, if your doing a Post office robbery dont do it on a Wednesday as its pension day, you'll be queuing for hours

i have seen a red belly tank with black sand before and your right the colours look great :) i think i will wait till they are in the permanant 100g tank then put black sand in there.the ray and other fish are also being upgraded to a bigger tank.the 4 reds are only about 5" the current tank is 48x18x18.to be honest i dont how many gallons it is but its a good grow out tank :good:
wont the post office have more cash on pension day tho :)

very nice! i'll come in with you on this post office robbery thing i need big tanks too :hey:

i quite like it with no substrate actually, i like the sparse look of your tanks, just highlights the fish :good:

thanks miss wiggle :) keeping it natural(no plastic) and simple is best imo
you can be the getaway driver ok :D

Nice Red Bellies Cane. The first picture looks good, would you mind posting it in the profile that I wrote on them in the index? I am asking because the picture that I supplied is not the best
