I have fallen (or will) prey to the Big Chain LFS. I purchased a Red Belly Pacu for my 55g tank based on the "adult size" listed on their tag. My Pacu is currenly about 6" long and I'm wondering how long I can expect to keep him before I need to find him a new home. I believe this is my first major mistake with a tank set-up and don't want the fish to ultimately pay for my screw-up.

When it is time to give him up does anyone know where I can send him as upgrading to a huge tank isn't really going to be an option?

Thanks.

tbh I'd start phoning around local zoos and public aquariums as getting rid of a tankbuster like a Pacu is not easy

Is this a call to start making now or once he gets larger? I was planning on posting on the US trading block when I'm ready to trade/sell/giveway to see if there is any interest.

As Davo86 try finding a new home for him now - it might take quite a while

Pacus grow very very fast
