My Red Belly pacu has 2 warts on his body..one by his mouth and one on his belly. It just happened over night. What is it?

What colour are the warts? Do they look cauliflower like?
A pic would be helpful

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, ntirate, and ph.

Any redness to the warts.
What colour are the warts.
Do they look filled with fluid.
Do the warts look smooth, cluster of berries, or look like a cauliflower.

It's a 125 gal tank...13 fish in it...all cichlids and 2 pacus. Both pacu's are bigger than the cichlids. PH level is at 8.0. Don't have any other stats but going to the pet store soon to get my water tested. The bumbs are plain white. Looks like a big pimple, not sure if there is water in them or what. No marks on them or anything.

Sounds like Ulcers,
That is a pretty small tank for one Pacu let alone two with other fish?

Ulcers will be pink or red with a circling of dead white tissue around the edges.
I would issolate the fish and try a bacterial med.
Does the pimple look like in ulcerating away at the skin.

I dont think its Ulcers...i looked that up online and it doesnt look like any of the examples i've seen online. Anyways i went to the petstore and got my water tested:

Nitrate: 0
Nitrite: 0
Hardness: 300
Chlorine: 0
Alkalinity: 200
PH: 8.0
Ammonia: 2.00

Water Temp: 82 F

ammonia is seriously too high, 0.1 is toxic,
What fish exactly do you have in the tank? as the ammonia level alone proves you are overstocked or seriously under filtered

do a water change and gravel vac asap mate

this aint good :(

I agree immediate water change and gravel vac.

Can you load a pic up of the sick fish.
