I haven't looked at books in a about a year, but I really like my copy of Barron's Compass Guide to Tropical Fish. http

It has about 600 pics & profiles. They are kinda short with description, but the info is laid out really well to find all the general info quickly (max size, recommended tank size, etc.).
Of course, I have been meaning to check out DK's Encyclopedia of Aquarium Fish here. I love DK books and they finally came out with a fish guide. I haven't seen it yet though. http/us.dk.com/nf/Book/BookDisplay/0,,97...609412,00.html#
