Recommend Light Fixture For 29Gal. Planted!

Hey guys, I have a 29 gallon kit that comes with a lid with the LED strip. Its equal to .5 -1 watt per gallon... L O L....
sooo... I have found several different tops that are either the lid/light together or a glasstop with fixture. I am trying to save money. and the best i have found is the Aqueon i believe? But i think it has ONE bulb. is that enough? what bulb is sufficient alone? any? or whats a better set up?

These are for european standards, but I'm sure you'll be able to find equivalent stuff for american standards.
Of course this implies an open topped aquarium...

the kind of fish i like need a lid. I also have three children lol. i wish i could have an open top. i love some of the emergent tanks. anyway, i need some sort of fixture that sits on a glass top. or is the top as well.

Have you considered using the original lid and lighting, but adding some of those LED strips that you get on ebay? They can be very bright, I have used them for a DIY algae turf scrubbers.

You will need a bit of DIY skills to solder the various strips you will be cutting to stick under the lid, and it would be a good idea to put a dab of silicone at each end of each strip, but it is very easy to do.

It would help to know the type of planted tank you intend, meaning, what species of plants and fish.  Low-light plants, moderate-light plants, and high-light plants need different levels of lighting, though there is some overlap, but algae needs to be controlled so you don't want too little or too much light for the plants.
