can i add more fish to my tank, if so, what would you recomend, cichlid wise.
check my signature for the tank population

The blue acara is south american, and the labs and zebras are mbuna (african). I don't know much about the acara, but from what I've read, they prefer peaceful tank mates, and need a meatier diet, both of which don't mix well with mbuna who are aggressive and mostly need an herbiverous diet (labs are the exception).

So I would rehome the acara, not sure about the eels, have heard some success storys, while others have been killed by the mbuna. I'd definately add more labs, they do best in larger groups of 5 or more, and then pick another species of mbuna and add 1m/3-4f.

Indeed, the eels and blue acara need a higher protein diet than the Malawi's, which in this case need to be eating more vegetable based foods. The shrimp will most likely become food.

So I'd rehome the acara and eels, also the shrimp if you don't want them to be food. Then add to the labs like has been said.

sorry i forgot to change my signature, i do not have the blue acara any more and the shrimp have survived for over 2 months, and the eels have been fine too for the last 3 months.
