Cloverfield (done a previous thread on this), throught it was utter garbage, see my thread for more damming comments on this film!

30 Days of Night (Vampire-type horror), not amazing, but overall i was glad i watched it, a little bit routine but worth a look

The Kingdom (Jamie Foxx), better than i anticipated from the reviews, i liked it, but then again Jamie Foxx in most things seems to be good

The Mist (Horror based on Stephen King book i think?), oooh i really liked this, i think its one of those love it or hate it ones, but i thought it was excellent if you into this type of horror and such a powerful ending (well i thought so)

Iron Man, saw it at the cinema with my boy recently, pretty good stuff for it's "type" of film, i think it works well, good fun!

Rise of the foot soldier, average, i am not really into these British "hard man/ganster" films too much (not the modern ones anyway), this one's based on the land-rover killings in Essex, where a 4x4 ended up looking like it had hosted a Strawberry Jam party.

Invasion (Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig), yet another re-make of Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and i happen to enjoy all the re-makes and i also liked this one, found it very tense throughout.

Diary of the Dead, i made a comment on this in the Zombie Films thread, i didn't like it, non-event for me (and i am a Zombie Film fan, but this was bad, very bad)

Breach, based on a true story of a big American Spy scandel, interesting story, read about it here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hanssen this film was better than i expected, kind of a "routine" thriller, but i enjoyed it

Andromeda Strain, remake, almost 3 hrs long, i loved the original sci-fi, and i also liked this re-make, quite like my disaster movies and enjoyed this one a lot, typically they've made it a bit more "horror" than the original one (1971)

I thought 30 Days of Night was... Something new. It wasn't like those typical vampire movies where vampires meet humans... Fall in love... Blah blah blah...
30 Days of Night was something fresh to me.

Iron man? I watched the first 20 minutes... My friend got sick and had to leave, and I happily left with her. I really disliked Iron Man for some strange reason even I can't touch on. Don't be assuming now that I haven't watched the whole movie and therefore cannot judge. I went back reluctantly a few days later and finished watching. ...I don't think Iron Man was my type.

The Andromeda Strain... Actually I haven't seen any of the films... But I have read part of the book and found it quite interesting.

Cloverfield: I guess I'm that one freak who thought it was an awesome movie, characters like Hud and lines about flaming hobos just made the film for me, that and I thought the special effects were awesome.

30 Days of Night: Ah, another great vampire gore-fest. I thought it was pretty good with it's over-the-top blood and guts factor, and the story was pretty good, too.

The Mist: I'd give it ten stars. A truly remarkable film, easily one of King's best books, and it had a really sad ending.

Iron Man: My favorite Marvel film so far. Excellent special effects and great acting, really makes me want to see the sequel when it comes out.

Diary of the Dead: I'm a huge fan of Romero's work, but I really didn't enjoy this film. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it looked really stupid, but I thought I'd rent it just in case, and I was right, it was a pretty terrible film.

Breach: Saw it a few months ago, excellent political thriller

The Andromeda Strain: Best TV remake I've ever seen. I really enjoyed the film.

Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem: Saw this the week it came out, thought it was tons better than the first. Instead of Predator killing Aliens, then teaming up with humans, it was Predator killing Aliens and humans, and the Predalien was pretty sweet. And it had a pretty nice level of gore, too.

Cloverfield:I got into it and thought it was pretty neat, the monsters made me laugh a bit the second time I saw it but other than that definetely worth a watch imo.

30 Days of Night: To slow for me, but it was good, especially the special effects and make-up.

Iron Man:Awesome film, couldn't of done any better for what it was.

Resident Evil Extinction:Skipped tooo much of the resident evil plot for me, should of done a film or short prelude of the world breaking down around them and everything going corrupt. Also I thought her super, super powers were pushing it a bit...But the 100's of clones at the end was just stupid.Still, it's a great film.

Doomsday:
I don't know how new this is but I watched it a week ago.Great watch, it's like a cross between resident evil and mad max.Really annoyed me how they had a car with a top speed of over 200mph going agianst an old fiat which comfortably caught up with them.

Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem:Crap

I agree, one of the best films i have seen in a long time. One of John James' best performances to date.

Towelhead, Brilliant Movie

Horton hears a Who, Very Very Enjoyable

Mongol, The Best Potrayal of Genghis Khan i have watched. Amazing cinematogrphy and capturing of such a desolate place.

Be Kind Rewind, Very Very Good - Jack Black at his Bet Mos def was very good aswell.

Kungfoo Panda, Had me in stitches

Hancock, So Very Funny.

The Other Boleyn Girl, Scarlett Johannsen at her best.

The Happening, Can't wait to see this Movie.

Yes, i too cant wait for The Happening

I am planning on taking my son to see Hancock at the weekend, i love the look of that film!

I was thinking about watching Doomsday, i like the sound of the plot, but from the clips it just all looks a bit too "mish-mash", can't think of a better way to describe it, seems like it will be too reliant on pure action for my liking. Might give it a go though.

Nice replies folks, nice to see people giving a few comments to explain a little about why they did or didn't like a film.

Big time agree with you there, i stated "powerful" ending as i didnt want to give it away too much, but let me just add another word about the ending....... "shocking"
