Looking good! That's a beautiful piece of wood you've got in there. :good:
thank you for the kind words, im currently doing my best to try and get rid of algae from my moss and hc cuba, any ideas on getting rid or should i just leave it be till all my plants out compete it?
a few plants are looking brown which is troubling me im new to planted tanks so i get worried easy since i dont know enough to problem solve myself , i think it could be too much light and a lack of co2 though

What I do to get rid of algae is to dose with excel, that is all I use for CO2. Your tanks is going to be beautiful when it grows out.

Like it :good: this is meant in the best way but it looks kind of spooky... with the spindly wood, moss and dark substrate.
Do you know what i mean or is my imagination running away with me?
Interesting tank either way.

Don't use excel with shrimp, trust me, I lost all 5 of my Amanos that way.

Nice scape you've got there, what substrate is that?

seachem says it is completely safe for inverts IF used as directed, that means daily dosing and the big dosing after a 40%+ water change, dont overdose.

Thats the reason why you don't use Excel to eliminate algae in an invert tank.

To kill algae you overdose excel. Dosing normally is just providing a carbon source and the algae killing is a side effect (this is admitted by Seachem themselves) of overdosing.

When you overdose it is harmful to inverts, and also melts plants like Vallis and Riccia (plus more)

Therefore if you want to rid the tank of algae by the Excel method then remove the shrimp first.

I would suggest wrapping the tank in black bags for 4-5 days (no peeking or feeding at all) then take a look after the 4-5 days and you should be surprised.

This won't hurt the fish or shrimp or any other livestock and wil only have a minimal effect on the plants, which soon recover.

thank you for the kind words germ i see where you coming from with the spooky thing i cant wait to see it grow out my e tennelus is throwing out runners like mad, i need to refine my planting technique though my hc insists on coming unplanted all the time :( (que for planting hints)
thanks for the tips on ridding algae ill post up a picture of it its taking over my moss :(
im using ada substrate amazonia, dont abuse it like i did im running activated carbon to keep it clear if i dont because i threw it in instead of being gentle i get dark brown water

more always welcome :)
