rearing fry

hi i have bred my electric blue and am now rearing the fry i would like to find out how to sex them and how long it usually takes for them to begin to get there colors any help would be greatly appreciated

Is this Pseudotropheus Johanni or Sciaenochromis Fryeri? Latin names are harder to learn, but they sure make things less confusing.
