really, what’s the purpose of adding funny colors on aquarium hardware???

my most used heater brand uses blaze orange for the center section on the heating element, and my favorite hob filter uses blue adjustment knobs… I personally like these to disappear from my tanks, when they are set up… these bright colors make the pieces harder to hide… maybe I’m just picky, but I like my tanks to look natural, when I get them done

I recently bought a couple of Chinese branded powerheads. They work really well, but they're bright blue. They're hard to hide.
 
The filter in my main tank consists of several 'buckets' locked together with clips. The 'buckets' are dark grey and they supply two sets of clips - a light grey set and a bright red set. The red ones are still in the box. The filter is in the back corner and there's a piece of wood covered in Bolbitis heudeloti in the front corner as even the pale grey clips stand out for me.
