once again my 20 gal tank has all killed over with no signs of ilness...ther was a outbrake of whitespot but that only happened on the same day and only 1 fish was affected later last night about 4 hours of finding thw white spot i go back upstairs 2 cheak on the tank and there all dead or as close 2 death as it comes. so i had 2 help the other fish alon and stop the suffering (was hard 2 do as it was my favriot fish :( ) and my 2 plecos the value of the fish in there was about £30 and ther was only 3 fish grr so its costing me alot to keep going and stocked as i dont have a grate deal of cash for some crap like this 2 happen again!. all the water tests were fine so i have no idea what is happening!

no i dont knwo weather to give up on the tank all together or keep tryin im just so annoyed atm about it all

sorry for your losses, i recently had the same thing happen in my 15, loosing many homebred fish (plecs, guppies etc) which were very precious to me, thought about giving it up but then i looked at my female bettas that were in quarantine in a 3 gal and i knew i had to carry on just to give them the space and life they deserve, don't give up think about the good times there should be many more than the bad :good:

i was thinking if i do redo the tank ill get a CT betta and base the tank around that buts thats only an if. as i cant really afford it

Sorry to hear of all the troubles you're having. White spot is usually brought on by stress unless it is brought into the tank by an infeccted fish. The organism that causes it is always present in the tank and just needs a trigger such as stress. There must be something that is triggering it. You say the water tests were fine. Do you mean that ammonia and nitrite wre both zero?

Other than that, is there a chance you got some type cleaners ino the tank either inadvertently while cleaning or dusting the room or on your hands while doing tank maintenance? If you are going to set the tank back up, I would suggest a complete cleaning, including the filter. That will mean you will have to cycle the tank again but using anything that is currently in the tank means that you risk having the same thing happen again.
