Ready To Drop, Or Dying Fish?

Im wondering if this fish could be dying, or ready to give birth, its been lazy, struggling to swim and just generally sitting on the bottom of the tank, if its ready to drop im ready LOADS of hiding places for fry, hope its ready to drop and not dying as this was one of my first batch.

About to drop! I think within the next 24 hours, if that! Her anal area is clearly open, and she is fully squared off, get ready for PLENTY of fry!


By the way I also have that barrel ornament that you have in the background, my Firemouth Cichlids spawned in it 4 times

After some eratic behaviour in the breeding trap, the fish sadly died, just suddenly, started doing loops then just stayed sitll with its mouth open.

She was in the trap for about a whole minute though, doesn't make sense

How long are we talking by minute though? Like 1 minute 24 hours how long?
It would've definately been very stressed in there for over 24 hours.

It was in there for roughly aroung 5minutes, i put it in the trap after i made the first post. within 10minutes it had died

Thanks, iv changed the gravel to a sand substrate now though its for the better I hope, will be updating my sig later today!!

Sorry for the loss. I don't think it was the breeding trap, I think she was ill anyway. She didn't look very squared off at the front, IMHO.
