Re Starting The Tank

hi guys i have a 39 gallon tank thats just been sat doing nothing for around 12 months still full ov water just no fish i turnd it all off about 3 months ago the glass has gone green and the gravel anyways going to start it back up again carried out a water test and all seems ok but not quiet shoure what to do ie strip it all down and give it a damm good clean and start afresh with a fishless cycle or just do a big water change and clean the equipment that way what do you guys think

You definitely should do a fresh fishless cycle as your bacteria colony will be almost all gone in 3 months of nothing running. The algae you see means that your water is probably healthy with nothing in particular wrong with it so probably a good cleaning with an algae scraper and a gravel vac and you would be ready yo start that cycle. You don't say why there are no fish in the tank. If it was a disease problem, do you know that it is gone now? If not, it might be best to strip down, clean everything thoroughly, toss the gravel and start again. It might cost you a few days of cycle time but save you weeks of frustration with sick fish.
