Hi all,

I built my current scape back in March, and it has thrived and flourished, but as the tank and it's inhabitants have grown and evolved, I am looking at re-escaping within the next month or two.

I need some advice with regards to doing this as I can't move all of the fish out, as I have no where to put them. So can I rescape with the fish in, and how is the best way to do this?

Thanks in advance

By the way it's a 95l tank with corys, endlers, guppies, amano shrimp, 2 giant African shrimps, and danios.

What do you want to do with the rescape?
If you just want to move rocks, wood and plants around, just move them. Do a gravel clean the day before to reduce the gunk that will be disturbed and end up in the water column.

If you want to change the substrate then you can either move the fish into a large plastic storage container with some tank water while you swap out the substrate.
Or scoop it out from one side of the tank, then do the other side. Then add the new substrate on one side and then the other. The fish remain in the tank when you do this. They will be stressed for a few days but normally settle down.

If you replace the substrate, do a complete gravel clean the day before so it's cleaner otherwise the tank will be gross afterwards and you will need to do a gravel clean.
