Re-designed my tank layout - (UPDATED)

Tank 1 for me - I like the height in the middle. Somehow I think it looks a little more natural too - although it looks like I'm in the minority !

they're both nice, so if tank one is what you have after hours of work i'd say keep it! your fish will probably enjoy the change anyways... keeps things interesting.

Yeah i think i'm going to rearrange it again tomorrow, my two rams just constantly hide in the back with all the plants no good.

So tomorrow i'll re-arrange it with a mix of tank 1 and tank 2.

I think i'll need to change it back. Tank 2 was what I used to have, tank 1 is what I have now after hours and hours and hours... of planting.

Anyways the look i was after was a centred island of plants and bogwood surrounded by a thick carpet of hair grass.

I used to have my tank so the whole background was filled...and after reading up about aquascaping and stuff I decided to do mine as a "triangle" shape. But it takes time for everything to settle and grow into how you want it.

I may be completely wrong here, but it looks like your plants are fairly new. Give your new design a chance. I like the mound shape. I've personally given up on hair grass...it just died quicker than it grew for me. But a piece of advice I was given to help it 'carpet' quicker is to separate the grass into many bits rather that clump lots together. It takes _ages_ tho

Well I took everyones advice on board and rearranged my tank back to tank 2 style. But with more thought on the plant arrangement.
