now i got rayne back in may if some of you rember, and there was argument then if this was a young boy or a young girl. i am now almost certian this is a young male, seeing how myst has already dropped eggs and she is younger then rayne. (rayne has never dropped eggs).
i wanted to show you guys some new pictures of him.(he is a bit chunky because he keeps eating the snails food as well.

i have relized now that i have had Rayne longer now then i had livingston. this is a little sad but encouraging too, maybe this means i am getting better as a fish keeper. :)

Whether he's a girl or boy.....he's a picture of health. You're obviously doing a great job.......so keep up the good work :good:

What Netty said.
And great tank, too, with lots of interesting (not to mention attractive,) stuff to swim through and around, and keep busy and active - that fish isn't just pretty, but pretty darn lucky.

Just thought I would point out that Syphoneria wasn't saying that your betta isn't pretty. She was saying that your betta isn't just pretty. ;)

Also, just because a betta doesn't drop eggs doesn't mean it's a male. I have a few female bettas that have never dropped eggs. And one of my females dropped eggs once, but it was while I was spawning her. She has never dropped eggs other than that.

Your's looks quite similar in body and fin shape to a couple of my females. It is a tough call though. I suppose the only way to know for sure is to actually breed her. But if you're just keeping her for companionship, then I'm sure you'll be happy with her regardless. :)
