Just seen these 2 rays in my lfs in a room dividing tank no wider than 12inches and about 4 feet long

they are about 5 inches round which is really worrying !

They look like P.castexi or possibly P.falkneri.

Very nice looking fish, did you happen to see a price or are they not for sale?

u got any info on them size etc ?

Both species reach very large sizes with females attaining a disc diameter of around 1 meter on the wild.
 
those are some big rays. I wouldn't doubt if cfc's tank was bordering on small for them, even with it being so large... :crazy:
 
Wow those are nice rays. AHHHHH stupid Florida law prohibits all freshwater stingray :shout: Attempting to get a permit though.
 
Lol posted in the other thread beofre I saw this one im with CFC on this they are castexi the tail markings are not right for falkneri. Either that or maybe one of the peru sp. But my first thought is castexi.
