Rasbora Tankmates

I started my 36 US gallon tank last week with six rasboras.

I have a ton of tank space lef, but now I'm not sure where I'm headed.

I want to end up with a nice centerpeice fish or two with some good size. (I've only had small fish before)

What are some medium sized (not oscar size) fish that could live with rasbora in a 36 US gallon tank?

I know angelfish, but I've had one of them before. I'd love to get discus, but I know that's not a good idea. What about cichlids? Can they live with rasbora?

Any other suggestions for a nice sized centerpeice fish?

Most Dwarf Cichlids would be fine:

Bolivian rams
Czech rams
Apistogramma sp.
African Butterfly Cichlid
