Somewhere I read that flushing wasn't the best way to dispose of dead fish. Dead fish might have disease and flushing might work their way into some other eco system

this is right..

i never flush fish

small fish in the bin...large fish i bury
 
Depending on the cause of death with small fish i normally chuck them into one of the larger tanks as food, but only if the death was natural causes and there is no sign of disease. Large fish or ones with diseases get placed in a plastic bag and thrown in the bin.
 
bury them in the fish cemetry of course! ( thats the patch of garden to the left of our front door :)
and no i dont put up little crosses or anything
 
Personally, I hate the Idea of flushing or just throwing in the bin. It might be wierd but I think it's just a bit disrespectfull. I do the easiest thing and just throw them in the garden, back to nature! Hopefully it will get eaten by a cat or a wild animal, and so the circle of life continues! :p
