SO I woke up this morning to find one of my pregnant guppies stuck in a plant dead.. No sign of illness it was jsut really random. I was able to test the ph which was 7.6(drops not strip) but I have to go to my lfs to get the rest tested (problem is they use strips and I cant afford a water kit due to holidays and birthdays coming up)She wasnt due any time soon and there are 4 other females with 2 males in the tank. She wasnt being pestered by the males though.. What could have caused this random guppy death? :(

There are any number of things that can affect a single fish. I lose a few from my mature endler colony every month since endlers only live to about 15 months. When you have over 100 of something that only lives 15 months, on average, you will lose 6 to 8 every month with nothing at all wrong. If your female was a young or recently matured guppy, there might be something to be concerned about. Otherwise, a single loss is nothing to take much notice of.
