no im afraid lol, platies will cope, but tetras and cories will be killed by them lol
if you have a decent size tank, gouramis will get out the way lol

The tank will is a 66 US gallon. It has lots of hiding places. I really really want some :(

And I have a spare tank to put them in if they start breeding to reduce agression

Yeah they should do. And Rams and cory's get along fine, I always had corys in tanks with my rams - never any issues.

rams and cories...95% of cories come from cooler waters (22-24oC) and rams come from waters at higher temps (28-30oC)
Rams HAVE to be kept at this temp so there metabolism and immune system can keep up or they can die. rams produce pathogens that are controlled by the immune system, but as soon as the immune system stops functioning correctly the pathogens will quickly disease the ram, and in 90% of cases die.

it will also prevent hexamita and white spot.

so cories and rams arent really suited. although there are some species (sterbai, schultzie and schwarzi) can cope well at higher temperatures.

where the hell did that come from?
but tetras and cories will be killed by them

sorry but this is not true. i have kept rams with an array of tetras. and a few species of corydoras and have NEVER had any problems. if you want rams make sure you provide for them well (GH lower that 10, PH lower than 7.6, temp at 28oC) fail to meet these and they wont last long.

so that would definitely rule out danios. and most corydoras

Oh I edited from kribs to GBR, lol.

The tank temp is 28OC and my cories have never had a problem......So thats settled

pH is 8.4 but again i'm sure they'll be fine because where I will be buying them from have a pH of around 8.2 so they should adjust easily.

when you get them, out them in a bucket (with LFS water). and tie a knot in a 2 meter length of airline and start a siphon from the tank into the bucket and let 1-2 drops of water come through a second. do this until the bucket is full then put them in

How about just ditch the GBR (these would go in big community) and just ahve the BNs (2), kribs(2) and swordtails(10).
i wouldnt go with 10 swordtails, it would be havoc and they can be very arsey. stick with 4 (1 male 3 females.)

GBR's could go in another tank providing tank mates are suitable (28oC remember)

5 swordies, 1 male - 4 females.

GBR would go in my 5 foot bow tank which will contain

- 2 pearl, gold and opaline grouamis
- 5 zebra danios
- 5 neon tetras
- 2 black tetras
- 5 platys
- 2 swordies
- commmon pleco
- albino pleco
- 2 BN Plecos
- 6 cories

Ty :good:
