aye these are german blue rams or just blue rams

to me [and it may just be me] they both look like males, which could explain the chasing, the female should have a pink belly and it doesnt look like it fom that photo, but you never know!

this is a female ram link

what size tank are they in?

edit: after having a proper look at the 2 Im almost certain that you have 2 males

There in a rio 125 I was going to buy another pair off her she said they would be fine but I now have 2 males so you say? They ok then because I dont have anywere to house the other?

Both look male to me too.

GRR! :) so will they be ok or a pair of angry lads?

In a rio 125 they should be fine, add or rearrange some decor to create more individual places, each will choose their own and likely only meet in the middle, once they settle down, one will establish dominance, but being rams, nothing serious should come of it, they are mostly bluff and only do a little chasing.

They should be fine, but it all depends on how much plants/decoration you have in there, to block the line of sight. They're not all the same, although in an ideal world they would be, then people can tell you exactly what they will be like and exactly what conditions they can be kept in, but no, they aren't. You could just have a bully which will chase and chase all day every day. One of mine would search the whole area of the tank and claimed all the bottom as it's territory. If you have one like that, then the les dominant male will be hassled endlessly.. Or it could settle down and everyone will live happily ever after. I'd leave it for a week or so and see how things are going. Your stats are perfectly fine for most tank bred Rams though, although I'm sure some will disagree...

Both ramirezi and both male, what temperature and PH are you keeping them at?

Temp is 26.5c to 27c varys from morning to evening etc! and the PH is 6.8 as co2 injecting with peat substrate and 1 indian almond leaf!

Ideally you should be keeping them at at least 28oC preferably 30oC, but what other fish do you have in the tank?

which source do u use? fishbase says 27-30C

and any articles to read on these?

thx in advance
