Hey;

I've had a pair of Rams now for about 2 weeks. During this time I've had a problem with milky water.... turns out algae waffers I was feeding my oto had been pushed behind a rock by the current! overfeeding in other words.

I notcie the rams are very timid fish and like to hide behind rocks and in caves.

Last night was the first time I was able to view them up-close and I was dissapointed.

They seemed to have faded in colour...they still have their blue speckles but the male has lost his red nose and the black markings on the pair have faded.

Water params:

nitrite 0
ammonia 0
nitrate 20
ph 7.0 - 7.50

Is it the pH thats causing it, my LFS has a similar pH and the fish were born in a neutral pH.

Any methods of getting their true colour back?
