I have 2 lovely rams and they have paired up and currently laying eggs on a piece of rock.

I have nothing prepared for this and wanted to know whats the best way to protect them?

The parents are of course shoo-ing everyone away, but I have 1 leopard plec which loves that rock also.

Will amanos eat fry?

The parents dont seem to be eating the eggs and they are of cream/orange colour so I assume they are fertised by the male.

Please help and give suggestions.

Regards

Rik

you don't need to protect them. cichlids are about the best fish parents there are. amano's won't be able to catch healthy fry - only weak sick or deformed ones - which is better really - the stonger ones will have a better chance of survival.
