Quite disturbing to see really and I am sure this is not the way that Rams die.
The Ram has had rapid gill movement for a couple of days. I did the usual thing, which was water change as I thought there maybe raised Nitratre levels that caused him discomfort. But that did nothng and this morning, I saw him at the bottom gasping. The top half of him was also turning black? There was no lnger any orange little of the blue spangles. He looked like a gonna but I proceeded and did a water change to see if that woud do anything. By the end of the water change, he was dead. and his head including eyes were completely black.
Now, you could say that there is a lack or aeration or oxygen but all the other fish and I have another ram in there, are fine! The other Ram has vibrant colours and looks very normal and lively.
Anyone got an explanation for me?
