You posted this 3 times you know ?? That's a 17gal tank. I don't see why not.

Your 3 gallons short of the recommended minimal for a pair, bare in mind that even if you add a female doesnt make them a pair, your male may see her as a threat/intruder and try to kill her. In a 60L tank, there isnt really enough space of territory for an unpaired pair IMO.

sorry about posting 3 times my computer went slow and i clicked 2 too many times and thanks i will take it into consideration maybe wait to see what other members tink aswell

I love it when people do this, someone tells you your tank wont be big enough and you say 'wait to see what other people think'.

Yes in some cases the first person to reply may be wrong, but in most cases even when 20 people say the tank is too small, if one person give you the answer you want then you will take their advice.

People just listen to the advice they like the sound of.

get a bigger tank

Like its been said, Rams are picky they might go through alot of females before finding a partner; they will fight and kill each other if they don't like each other.

ok don't worry i am not like that i want the better for my or any fish i will try and upgrade or just get another fish :good: thanks everyone

Ok mate cool, didnt want to seem like i was having a go. Just get alot of people that only take the advice they want to hear, regardless of wether it is best for the fish and there well being or not.

Dont get me wrong, im not an RSPCA lover or anything, lol. You get this alot with over stocking, everyone has different ideas of what is overstocking, but at the end of the day its better to be understocked. Over stocking only leads to stunting and the tank looks worse in the long run.

Good luck mate

thanks Gaz i don't want to hurt my fish so i guess i won't get a female til i get a bigger tank but i will research a bit on what i can get looking at some corys atm
