just been re-arranging my tank after a mass molly death (all three ballon mollies died) and i noticed the pupils of my male German Blue Ram have turned white :-( is he blinded? he keeps bashing into the tank walls and floor :-(

Do you mean the eyes look cloudy.

Cloudy eye has many causes, plus it's a symtom of a desease not a desease in it's self.

What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.
Cloudy eye can mean parasites as well like whitespot, and velvet, is the fish flicking and rubbing against objects, any laboured breathing.
Also cloudy eye can be old age, and bad diet, and stress.

my pimeledontis pictus had cloudy eye a few months ago but this is worse, where the center of the eye was black it is now all white :(

ill check my stats now

crap!

NO3- 120mg/l
NO2- 5mg/l
PH- 7.4

Bad water quality start doing some water changes, when did you last maintain the filter, as you have a very high nitrate reading, anything above 050 should be fetched down with water changes.
Plus also you have a nitrite reading
How many gallons is the tank, and full stock list.

ive actually just done a 30% change

it is 180l so 48gals

stock list:
1 Red-Tailed Black Shark
1 Bristlenose Pleco
1 Kribensis Cichlid
1 Pictus Catfish
1 Male Betta
1 German Blue Ram
2 Angel Fish
3 Dwarf Guoramis
4 Zebra Danios
6 Albino Corydoras

Keep doing small water changes don't want to swing it back to fast to soon, it will shock the fish, look in the filter at your sponges, if they are really gunked up just squeeze one of them in some old tank water.
Plus is it a juwel tank.

oh yeah, cleaned both filters last night too

tank is a jewel rio 180, the filters are:
1 Internal Jewel Filter (included)
1 External Fluval 204 Filter

In tank water, and how much did you clean all the sponges or just a few.
Plus are these stats you given now or before the filter maintanance.

stats are now

i cleaned every sponge in tap water

Never clean tank sponges in tap water you have destroyed all the bacteria now.
You clean sponges in old tank water you have removed, then only one or two at a time.
The tank is cyling again then.
Do you have an ammonia reading.

i didnt clean the bacterial things with anything

no ammonia reading (can get one)

Thank god for that, thought your stats were weird if you had.
Take a look at the sponges are they a really messy brown, if so squeeze one of them in a bucket of tank water.
Check the other filter as well and just slightly squeeze one of the sponges as well, don't go mad.

anything i can do to get his eyes back to normal? (any meds?)i cant get a pic, he doesnt stop moving

His eyes are down to bad water quality this is what i'm trying to do, get water quality better.

okay, will do more water changes tommorow morning and afternoon
